On Tour With George Strait = FUN
Heyy!
So basically I'm having the time of my life. The first George Strait show was SO AWESOME. First of all, the stage is unlike any other stage I've ever performed on.. It's a circular stage, and its in the middle of the arena, instead of at one side. So you can walk around the entire arena on this stage. It makes the show extremely intimate, and adds such a cool vibe. So, I'm pretty sure the highlight of my night last night (the first show of the tour, in Lafayette, LA) was that......... Pretty sure George Strait SAID MY NAME. Me and Emily (my fiddle player) and Megan (she travels with us and is 23 and handles basically everything) were watching George's show.. and all of a sudden he says "I'm very happy to have the talented Miss Taylor Swift out here with us". YESSSSS. It was pretty awesome, sort of a life changing moment. ha. So life on the road is awesome. For me, it contains mainly crime-solving shows such as CSI and Law and Order SVU, making sandwiches, going running at local gyms, Emily and I trying to figure out how to use the complicated gym equipment, Emily and I eventually completely giving up and accepting the fact that we will never know how to use anything in a gym except a treadmill. Also lots of arguing with my mom about the temperature of the bus because she tries to turn me into an ice cube ("Germs grow in warm temperatures, you have to stay healthy!"), me turning the temperature knob back to 80 degrees when she's not looking, playing with the walkie talkies that my manager makes us carry for safety purposes, and of course playing shows. After the shows, I meet people and sign autographs for about 3 hours and then come back to the bus. Its so much fun. I find things to cook on the bus, and its pretty interesting.. Considering that all I really have on the bus to cook with is a microwave. Its just so much fun being on the road again, and I have some great news.. I'm going to be on tour with Brad Paisley in the spring and summer! It's 34 cities, so I'd love to see you guys come out to a show in your area! Y'all are so awesome, and I see it at every show. That's really why I love being on the road-- because I get to meet you, and talk to you, and see how supportive you've been.. And best of all, I get to say thank you.
So, THANK YOU!

New Video Shoot "Teardrops On My Guitar" and GOLDDDDD
Heyy guys,
So I had another video shoot yesterday, it was AWESOME. We shot it at a high school, Hume Fogg High School in downtown Nashville, to be exact.. I got to the shoot at around 8am, after a 5am flight that I had to get up at 3am for because I'd had a show the night before in Orlando. We shot a bunch of different scenes at the high school, in different classrooms and in the hallways, so we needed extras. Extras are people the director usually casts to be in the background of certain scenes to make it look more crowded.. So I decided to use people I knew as the extras! And since it was shot at a high school, I got to use my friends as extras!! So y'all might be able to pick out some of the people in my video from my top 8-- Abigail, Kathryn, Kelsey, Ally, Emily, Megan... All in it. My little brother, Austin, is in it too, same with my cousin. ha. It was so much fun. Tyler Hilton, who was on the show One Tree Hill and played Elvis in the movie Walk The Line played "the guy" in the video.. He's alot of fun, I met him out in California at one of my shows. It was so much fun shooting all of those scenes in high school, because I haven't been in school in almost a year now. It really took me back. Then the scene I'm SOOO excited about is one of just me in this bedroom, and I'm wearing a 21 FOOT LONG gown that my stylist, Sandi Spika, made for me. It's bluish-green and is strapless. I CANNOT wait for you to see it. BUT I don't want to give too much away--- so, that's all I'm going to say about the video. Trey Fanjoy, the director, is still editing it. We should be releasing it in the next few weeks.
By the way, MY ALBUM IS CERTIFIED GOLLLLLLLDDDDDDD.
AND "Tim McGraw", as of today is Top 5!
Life is good. I love you guys.

More from the road..
So, I just got back from Kansas City. I had a show there, and this last weekend I was in Pennsylvania doing some shows around where I used to live. It was really cool, because so many people came out to support me, and I got to do longer shows.. I love it when I get to play for an hour or 75 minutes, those are always fun! So, on the bus-- Megan, Emily, and I are still obsessed with Grey's Anatomy dvds. We watch two episodes every night. It's a ritual. But the thing is, we were late bloomers when it comes to Grey's Anatomy.. So we're still on Season 2. So we're at the point where the bomb was in the hospital, and all of that. Do not-- I repeat, DO NOT tell us anything about what's about to happen in episodes to come. That's completely against the rules. haha. So my new video for Teardrops On My Guitar premiered on GAC a few days ago, and I believe its premiering on CMT on Thursday during the Top 20 Countdown. Thank you so much for your sweet comments about it! I'm so glad you like it, I had so much fun making it. The song is about to be officially released to radio, so now is the time to start calling the stations and asking them to play it. I'll love you forever. haha. And thank you to everyone who's been voting for me on CMT.com for the CMT Music Awards!!! I'm so excited, I think to the awards.. I'm going to wear a gold dress. Because my album just went gold.. I was thinking about colors and then it just hit me. I think gold is my new favorite color right now. haha. You all are so amazing, and I just want you to know that I appreciate you. I really really do.

Life is GOOD
Heyy,
So this week is CRS... (Country Radio Seminar) in Nashville, which is the week when all the radio stations come to Nashville to see the artists and we get to put on shows. Its a good time. But ANYWAY, today I got some AMAZING news.. The FINAL CMT Awards Nominations list came out, and.... I LOVE YOU GUYS. I'm nominated for Breakthrough Video of the Year. Thank you to everyone who voted! But I need you now more than ever, because YOU can choose who wins this!!!! Please please please go to CMT.com, and vote for my video for "Tim McGraw" in the Breakthrough Video category. I would love that so much.
Anyway, so I went to Little Big Town's platinum record party last night, it was great. So good to see awesome people get what they've wanted for so long.. I love them. And to preface this, at my gold party last week (I'll post pictures soon), Little Big Town sent me this beautiful necklace and a note.. It was so sweet. So for their platinum party, I brought them a gift too.. But mine was a little different.. See, for my homeschooling English credit, I had to write a term paper about something that "interested or intrigued me".. So I wrote MINE about Little Big Town.. It was a ten page paper. I ended up printing it out on platinum paper, and putting it in a leather case, and giving it to them for their platinum party. It was so cool to be there, I absolutely love them to death.
I love you guys for voting for the first rounds of the CMT Awards, seriously. Thank you. Let's go for it, please please please go vote for me for the final rounds. Have an amazing weekend, guys. You've absolutely made mine.

The Best Night.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
I just need to say this, and this comes from the bottom of my heart.. Thank you for last night. Thank you for the CMT Music Awards. Part of me can't believe that it actually happened, and all of me can't believe that this is my life-- that there are people out there willing to take time out of their busy lives to give me that night-- to give me that moment where time completely stood still and everything was right. I've always been the girl watching the award shows from the stands or from my couch, wishing like crazy that someday if I worked hard enough and things really came together, that could be me. You did that for me. I'm not used to this-- I can't even believe it. I'm also so happy for my label mate, Jack Ingram, who won the award for "Wide Open Country" Video of the Year.
For every person out there who has my song on their profile or I've met at a show or has voted for me on CMT.com... I couldn't love you more. I want you to know that. And I meant what I said-- when we're out on tour with Brad Paisley this spring/summer/fall, I want you to come and meet me so I can thank you myself. And yes, I'm bringing the buckle with me.. That award that I wouldn't have if it weren't for YOU!
I want you to know that I will never forget what you did for me. Ever. You're the best thing that's ever happened to me. :-)
Can't wait to see you this summer!

Ticks, Denny, and a dress.
Hey,
I'm sitting here on my bus in Champagne, Illinois. I'm playing here with Brad tonight, the tour's going great! Today is pretty overcast and blahh outside so I've been incredibly lazy all day.. I watched my CSI Dvds until I ran out. I was pretty upset about that.. Note to self: Buy more CSI DVDs. Anyway, after I ran out of crime shows to watch, I pulled out my iPod and randomly selected a Grey's Anatomy episode to watch the pass the time.. And it randomly selected the episode where Denny dies, and so I started hysterically crying and couldn't stop for about ten minutes. (He was my favorite character, hands down. Why'd he have to die?) For the the record, this is the first time I've cried in a VERY long time. So I figure if the only reason I have to cry is a TV show, I must be pretty lucky. I'm heading home tomorrow to have a dress fitting for my ACM dress. It's a custom made Sandi Spika dress and I can't EVEN wait to try it on.. I've already had one fitting for it. Can't wait for you to see it. And here's a little secret for only my myspace peopleee.. I might just wear my hair up this time. I know I never do anything with my hair, but I think it's time to. How about that?
SO, I've been watching my back out here for the past couple of days. One of us is going to get pranked by Brad ("Us" being Jack Ingram, Kellie Pickler, and myself). Here's why: We struck first. We'd had been planning it for a while, ever since I found these hilarious Tick costumes on the internet and ordered them. Then we made Jack this exterminator costume and got him a bug sprayer. Then, two nights ago, in the middle of his show-- when Brad was playing his new song "Ticks", Kellie and I ran out onstage in those ridiculous tick costumes ( we looked like Sumo wrestlers). We started dancing around Brad and running up and down the catwalks. Then Jack came out in his "Pest Control" costume and pretended to chase us around the stage, trying to spray us with fake insecticide. Then he eventually sprayed both of us and Kellie and I pretended to die onstage. I was laughing so hard I could barely breathe. Then I was laying there on the stage playing dead, and looked up at Brad, and he looked down at me and said "Nice work". Yeah. I might as well have a target drawn on me.
Anyway, ACMs are coming up in less than a week! VEGAS! I can't wait. I love Vegas and I love travelling.. I guess that's a good thing when you go on tour all year. I love award shows because I love to dress up. I'll admit it. ha. It doesn't even have as much to do with being nominated (although that is a nice bonus).. I loved award shows before I was ever nominated for anything. This is the first time I've ever been nominated for an ACM and I can't wait to just be there. (the awards are May 15)
I love you guys and I'd love to see you all come out to shows this summer-- I'll be with Brad's tour til November. I sign after every single show, and I sign for everyone. I'd love to meet you, and say thank you for being part of the reason I'm nominated for anything this year.
I put up some new facts about me in my bio.. I hadn't updated it in a while. Check it out? And I'll have that "Ticks" prank video up here ASAP.

PLATINUM!!!! fndkjslgdfgj
Wow. WOW. You have no IDEA how excited I am to type these words: The album.. is.. PLATINUM! Thank you so much for buying it, and getting your friends to buy it. You guys are the reason for this, and the only reason. I can't take credit for YOU going out and buying those albums. This is your platinum record, just like it's your CMT Award. I seriously love you more than words can say.
I'm currently on the road again with Kenny Chesney, opening up for his shows in Houston and Dallas while Brad Paisley's taking a break. This is SO cool. And for those of you wondering about my current health conditions, I am feeling almost completely back to normal! Thank you to everyone who wished me well, I read those comments on my last blog and was so touched by how thoughtful and understanding you are.
So CMA Music Fest was a BLAST. This is my third year going. I went the first year as a volunteer (when I was fourteen) and helped out with getting artists to their radio interviews. Then last year, I was there signing autographs (nobody knew who I was, it was funny) and telling anyone who would listen that I had a single coming out called "Tim McGraw" and would they please request it at radio.. haha. Then one year later, there I was, recieving a platinum plaque for a million copies of my album sold... It's been a good year. :-)
Opening up for Kenny Chesney is one of the coolest things I've ever done. His tour has this laid back vibe to it, and everyone's so cool to work with. And Kenny Chesney is so completely nice. Genuinely nice. Like, we were all sitting around the bus after the show and he came up and sat down and talked to us for a while.. and before he left he said "I'm going to get something to eat, y'all want anything?" Like, simple things like that.. It's just.. really nice. And I really really like nice people.
Well, I'm having a blast out here and again I want to thank you for even reading this. I always hoped I'd have a great life, and see amazing things, and be really really lucky. But there was never a point where I actually thought this kind of life was possible for me. So thank you. Seriously. I say it so much because I truly mean it. You're the reason I'm here.
